授業の目的【日本語】 Goals of the Course(JPN)	テーマ：凸性凸関数・凸集合の基本的な性質といろいろな数理科学分野(最適化理論，組合せ論，計算機科学・アルゴリズム論など)との関わりと応用を学ぶ．
授業の目的【英語】 Goals of the Course	Theme: Convexity We study basic properties of convex sets and functions, and their connections and applications to various fields of mathematical sciences, such as optimization, combinatorics, computer science, algorithm theory.
到達目標【日本語】 Objectives of the Course(JPN)	文献を読みこなし理解する能力，人にわかりやすく説明する能力，質問に適確に答える能力，質問して議論する能力，を身につける．
到達目標【英語】 Objectives of the Course	To acquire the ability to read and understand the literatures, to explain things clearly to others, to answer questions appropriately, and to ask questions and have discussion.
授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan	テキストを輪講形式で読み進める．1回の授業につき1人か2人が発表を担当する．その他の人もテキストの演習問題を解いて発表してもらうことがある．
履修条件 Course Prerequisites	定員超過の場合は面談によって決める．
