研究者としての所属は物理，応用数学，数学と変化していますが，一貫して流体運動の理論的研究を行っています．流体の運動は極く身近なものですが，そこには多様な非線形現象が満ちあふれています．渦や波のような現象も流体のもつ非線形性の産物であると考えられます．そういった流体中の物理過程の研究が乱流のような大きな問題の解明につながると考えています． |
