Take the subway Mejyo Line from Sakae (M05) (direction to Shiyakusho, but Mejyo line is a loop and another direction is almost the same) and get off at Nagoya Daigaku (M18), i.e., Nagoya Univesity. It takes roughly 20 minutes. Another possibility is take the subway Higashiyama Line from Sakae (H10), and change at Motoyama (H16 = M17) to Meijyo Line (direction to Nagoya Daigaku). Then the next stop is Nagoya Daigaku. This is a shorter route. But this depends on the changing time at Motoyama (maximaum 10 minutes), and the total time would be almost the same if you are unlucky.
