On the decomposition of the induced representation $1_{GL_n(F_{q^2})}^{GL_{2n}\(F_q)}$

In this talk, I shall give a method for decomposing the induced representation in the title into irreducible representations. Although Anthony Henderson (J. Algebra, 2003) has proved the same result, our proof is quite elementary and works for even $q$ as well.
