Mini Workshop on Brane World
30 - 31 October 2003
Meeting Room 1001, 10th floor, Building no. West 8E
Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan
Organizers:
Kei-ichi Maeda (Waseda: chair), Misao Sasaki (YITP), Tetsuya Shiromizu (TITech),
Takahiro Tanaka (Kyoto), Takashi Torii (Waseda)
Objective:
The braneworld scenario, which was originally proposed to explain the
mass hierarchy or to give a new mechanism to confine the gravity, has
brought substantial progress not only in particle physics but also in
astrophysics/cosmology. This mini-workshop is a pre-conference meeting
for
the 6th RESCEU symposium, "Frontier in Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology"
,
to be held on 4th - 7th November and it is intended to gain insights
into cosmological implications of the braneworld from general relativistic
astrophysical point of view and to develop new directions in cosmology
and in physics of strong gravity.
