And by the way, I didn't find anything in Gtk+ 1.2 documentation, which
starts to make me think that there is simply no solution except choose
another resolution. Too bad.

Maybe Gtk2 solve the problem, but I really don't want to bother about
this. Gtk1.2 it is, Gtk1.2 it will be.
