I see that show () on window2 before creating the drawing area is fine, but I'd like to show window2 only later on, not when I define callbacks drawing on it but when there will actually be something to draw. I was thinking of using a drawing area option ref, but I don't know whether is this a good idea. Would anybody have a hint for that? T I A Ernesto
