Well, metacity and gnome2 seem to work fine, with AA fonts and everything, i was not able to open a new gtk2 windows, but i had not much of them installed. > One potential cause is the absence of a Render extension in the X > server. Yes, i will try that, but i believe it may more probably be a memory leak somewhere, since launching a lablgtk2 program did eat all free memory, and if i killed the netspeed applet (which did eat around 250Mo of memory, all in swap space, a bit silly for a little applet like that) i managed to launch the gtk2 app, but still it used a lot of memory, a lot more than what lablgtk1 apps used to do. On my home box, it eats only 12 Mo and 6 Mo, it was way more here. Anyway, i don't think it is a lablgtk2 issue. Friendly, Sven Luther
