I have started to work on it, but as stated before the first hardle is that the handling of signals completely changed. It's not very complicated, but I need a chunk of time to get it right. After that I hope we can get a bit of parallelism in the upgrading. By the way, the gobject in itself is not a big deal: all gtk types were already gtkobjects before.
