No real reason. It would not be difficult to add it :-) Note however that one would have to handle the special value GDK_PARENT_RELATIVE. More generally, the direct setting of style is more or less deprecated: you are supposed to use rc files for that. If you just want to use the current value of the pixmap, GtkData.Style.set_window_background is available. Jacques
