I am still looking for the "late-compilation" scheme details, but 
thought I would mention that the link to gtk-2.6.8-dlls-win32.zip is 
bad... because the actual file does not follow the naming convention 
(presumably a typo) and is called gtk-2.6.8-win32-dlls.zip.
