I always install the svn version by hand...
And it looks like the version in the ports expects the X11 version of
gtk. So it is a better idea to install it by hand.
If you intend to install unison, you are better off with the svn
version, as it contains a patch for using it with the quartz version
of Gtk (some old features of Gtk don't work with quartz...)
