Work and Internship Seminar / Mini Reunion

The Nagoya University Graduate School of Mathematics holds the Company Seminar and Mini Reunion every December to promote exchange/communication between current students and alumni as part of its job placement guidance and career education efforts which span six fields (self-analysis, career path understanding, enlightening experiences, career counseling, assistance with selecting a job, and follow-up).

This special Work and Internship Seminar / Mini Reunion aims to develop an occupational awareness among students as part of the School’s career and occupational education. In particular, the seminar is designed to teach students how mathematics can be put to use for society and how they can contribute to their communities. Students can talk with alumni about why they chose their professions or companies, what they have learned in their work, what has been difficult and what has been rewarding. In addition, companies with internships available for Department of Mathematics and Graduate School of Mathematics students will introduce those programs. Rooms will be available for fourth-year students and second-year Master’s Program students to have face-to-face consultations with alumni. You are encouraged to actively participate.
